Zines

We met quite a few of you at the Brightspace Creative Career Festival held at the mac on the 28th and 29th January. On the Friday we had a stall where we talked about our Creative Future: What's On signposting project, and the forthcoming FILTER site which will be launching in March 2011.

On the Saturday we branched out and ran a day long zine making drop-in workshop. We'd brought a load of stuff - magazines, newspapers, fancy paper, plain paper, felts, crayons, carbon paper, stamps, ink, scissors, glue and tape. We suggested to participants they might want to make something linked to the theme 'surrender' which linked nicely into Illustration Friday's theme for the week - however people were free to make zines about whatever they wanted.
